The story behind the designs...
When I was about ten years old, my Aunt Linda taught me how to bead. I remember the first time she took me into a bead shop-- I think my magpie lust was born right then and there. I remember watching her string beads together, and playing with the ones she was generous enough to let me have. But as most hobbies you have when you're young, it got pushed to the wayside while I dabbled in other things.
In the Winter of 2006, thirteen years later, I found myself seeking out a way to express myself creatively. I had time on my hands and needed a way to fill it. I found myself in the bead aisle of my local craft store, and decided to give it a whirl. At first, I was making jewelry for myself, and then people started asking me where I got my necklaces. Then they started asking if they could buy my necklaces. So it was in March, 2007 that I set up shop with Etsy to make my jewelry publically available. First, it was glass and string. Then came fine metals and precious gems.
In November 2008, I took the plunge and began to create jewelry full-time! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love. My jewelry is inspired by mythology, spirituality, faerie tales, steampunk, and classic elegance. Whatever strikes my fancy-- what better way to create?
